Habitat—In Subtropical and Dry Rainforest

Distribution— North from Yarraman to Bundaberg in Queensland.

Description—Shrub or Small Tree.

Leaves.— Compound, entire, leaflets two, green on both surfaces, leaflets alternate. Leaves broad–elliptic to obovate, 2 to 5 cm long, apex obtuse, base tapering, margins entire or with a few irregular teeth, minute teeth towards apex, hairless.

Inflorescence.—Branched, approximately 5 cm long; pedicels to 3 mm long. Petals to 1.5 mm long.

Flowering.—Spring

Fruit.— A capsule, 0.6 to 0.8 cm long, usually two–lobed, yellow, hairy inside; seeds usually 2, black, each enclosed in a thinly fleshy red aril.

Ripe.—Summer
